Brief History

Summarecon was founded by the Nagaria family and their associates in 1975, to develop an area in Summarecon Kelapa Gading from an unproductive swamp into an integrated residential and commercial township. Up to now, the total development area in Summarecon Kelapa Gading has reached around 550 ha, with complete infrastructure and supporting facilities such as shopping mall, food centers, sport facilities, as well as education and healthcare facilities.

In 1993 Summarecon started another township project, that is the development of Summarecon Serpong in an area of 1,500 ha. Now Summarecon Serpong has been growing into modern residential township, equipped with a shopping mall, education facilities and busy commercial areas.

In 2010, Summarecon launched its third township project in Summarecon Bekasi with development area of around 250 ha. In the future, Summarecon Bekasi will be developed into modern residential township which resembles Summarecon first two township projects.
