Summarecon's first township development that started in 1975 is now a bustling town within Jakarta. Starting from an initial seed of 10 hectares of land, Summarecon has over the years successfully developed and transformed this previous marsh land into a 550 hectares modern township with an address that is much sought after by the affluent community. The township has earned praise of being a prestigious and elite location. To date, we have built about 30,000 houses and 1,350 apartment units for the residential clusters, and another 2,000 shoplots for the commercial neighbourhoods. In our own central business district, is Sentra Kelapa Gading, an integrated complex of a shopping mall, outdoor dining and lifestyle centers. With a captive population of 150,000 plus another 1.3 million in north Jakarta, the complex attracts about 30 million visitors a year. With its vibrant economy, almost all banks, both local and foreign, have a presence in Kelapa Gading, further fueling commerce in the township.

 

Current and future projects

Grand Orchard

Grand Orchard is a 46 hectares residential neighbourhood located at the eastern edge of Summarecon Kelapa Gading. Started in 2008, this project will be completed by 2013 with an estimated 700 middle-upper households plus another 100 shoplots. Applying the latest water run-off innovations, its concept of a "green spine" makes for a unique green feature for recreation and for water catchment. Plans are afoot to develop "Orchard Junction" which will house a supermarket and a food-court, thus spurring commerce and developing a local economy.

 

Menara Satu

Menara Satu is an 11-storey modern office building located in Kelapa Gading's CBD. The office will have around 18,800 m2 GFA, of which around half of the space will be sold and the remaining will be leased out.  When completed in 2012, it will further enhance the townships economy as it is planned to be a financial center within our township.

 

 

 

 

Sherwood Residence
Located near to Mal Kelapa Gading, this apartment residence is built on about 2 hectares of land and comprises 330 units housed within three majestic towers. With a concept tailored to the needs of a family, the residents will enjoy facilities and amenities within the comfort and security of this high-rise complex.

 

 

 

 

Mixed use high-rise projects

With the limited landbank in Kelapa Gading and maturity of the township, Summarecon plans to optimize its remaining landbank by developing more high-rise mixed use projects in the near future. Projects within the next 5 years may include 1,000 - 1,500 units of apartments as well as retail / commercial centers and offices.
