As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, PT Summarecon Agung Tbk (Summarecon) is once again holding its Free Cataract Surgery Social Service Program, this time in Bogor, following its successful implementation in Tangerang. This program reflects Summarecon’s ongoing commitment to helping improve public health, particularly for those with limited access to cataract surgery services. The public’s enthusiasm was evident from the 359 registrants hailing from various regions, ranging from the Jakarta-Bogor-Depok-Tangerang-Bekasi (Jabodetabek) area to Karawang, Bandung, and Sumedang.

Following a health screening process on April 25, 2026, 126 patients were deemed eligible for surgery, comprising 116 cataract patients and 10 pterygium patients. The surgeries were performed on May 2, 2026, at Hermina Ciawi Hospital in Bogor, involving 7 ophthalmologists and a medical team. To ensure optimal patient recovery, Summarecon also provided post-operative care through medication and follow-up observations on the first and seventh days after the procedure.
