Summarecon officially commenced construction of Bekasi Extension Station, a key component of the Summarecon Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), in collaboration with the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development, the Ministry of Transportation, the West Java Provincial Government, the Bekasi City Government, and PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI).

The groundbreaking ceremony was marked by a siren-pressing ceremony conducted by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development; Suntana, Vice Minister of Transportation; Erwan Setiawan, Vice Governor of West Java; Abdul Harris Bobihoe, Vice Mayor of Bekasi; Awan Hermawan Purwadinata, Director of Infrastructure Operations and Safety Region 1 of PT KAI; Herman Nagaria, Managing Director of Summarecon; and Adrianto P. Adhi, President Director of Summarecon. The ceremony was also attended by officials from PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI), as well as members of the Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors of PT Summarecon Agung Tbk.

Bekasi Extension Station is being developed to help redistribute passenger traffic and reduce congestion at the existing Bekasi Station. Built on a 7,038 sqm plot with a total building area of 6,733 sqm, the three-story station will feature a connecting corridor and a Sky Bridge to support more efficient and sustainable mobility. The project marks the first phase of the Summarecon TOD development, which will be followed by the construction of a 5-kilometer mass transit corridor connecting the area to the Jabodebek LRT Station. This collaboration underscores Summarecon's commitment to developing integrated townships with seamless transportation connectivity, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for the people of Bekasi.
