The Ministry of Social Affairs in cooperation with Summarecon Mall Bekasi held an event to commemorate 2018 International Disability Day in the Bekasi Food City (BFC) parking area of Summarecon Mall Bekasi on 2 & 3 December 2018. This two-days event is open for public and free of charge. The event was enlivened by the performance of Tulus and performances from persons with disabilities. Also there was a bazaar booth selling various kinds of products made by persons with disabilities and agency services for persons with disabilities. The event was closed by watching a movie with the committee, participants and management of Summarecon Mall Bekasi.

The inauguration of the event was attended by The President of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Social Minister Agus Gumiwang, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, and Rahmat Effendi as Bekasi Mayor. In addition to giving remarks at the event, Jokowi was accompanied by Social Minister Agus Gumiwang, Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil and Adrianto P. Adhi as President Director of Summarecon walked to visit several booths of persons with disabilities.
