As a family mall, Summarecon Mal Kelapa Gading also enliven the celebration of Imlek by holding an event themed Prosperous New Year with Gudetama which took place from 8 - 25 February 2018 in The Forum area, MKG 3 ground floor. Gudetama is an egg-shaped character or mascot of the famous Japanese brand, Sanrio. Eggs in the philosophy of Chinese society are also often associated as a symbol of joy and happiness.

Various interesting events are presented, among others Meet & Greet with Gudetama character, Barongsai attractions, Liong, Guzheng Traditional Music, Mini Orchestra, Thousand Hands Dance, and a number of other interesting events. In addition, Gudetama Play Area can be a fun and exciting playground for children and parents. Still in the same area, there is the first Gudetama and Hello Kitty Pop Up Store in Indonesia as well as interesting booths to visit.
