Summarecon held a flag-raising ceremony to commemorate the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia at Summarecon Villaggio Outlets, in the Summarecon Emerald Karawang area. During the ceremony, students from Al Azhar 8 Islamic High School in Summarecon Bekasi were entrusted with the flag-raising duty. The event was attended by the board of commissioners, board of directors, and department heads, and it proceeded smoothly and solemnly.

One distinctive feature of Summarecon's flag-raising ceremony is the procession of employees from all business units of Summarecon. Additionally, there were performances of martial arts, traditional dances, and choir singing. This ceremony is a routine activity carried out by the management and employees of Summarecon to commemorate the nation's Independence Day, following a hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic.
