Summarecon's commitment to developing Integrated Cities in various regions in Indonesia, especially in Eastern Indonesia, is realized through its business unit that has been present since 2018, Summarecon Mutiara Makassar. In line with the development concept that focuses on the development of Integrated Cities, Summarecon is committed to increasing the value of this area by presenting city-scale supporting facilities such as shopping centers, independent markets, educational facilities, and various other supporting facilities in the future.

This development commitment is again demonstrated through the construction of Sekolah Islam Al Azhar Summarecon Mutiara Makassar which has been present since March 31, 2022. Currently, the school is temporarily located in Ruko Graha Boulevard Summarecon Mutiara Makassar and has been opened for the first time for the Elementary School level for the 2022/2023 school year. The construction process of the new building for Sekolah Islam Al Azhar Summarecon Mutiara Makassar has now entered the Topping Off stage. This process was officially held on Monday, May 27, 2024 by the Summarecon Board of Directors, namely Mr. Adrianto P. Adhi as President Director of Summarecon, Mr. Herman Nagaria as Director of Summarecon and Mr. Indra Widjaja Antono as Executive Director of Summarecon Mutiara Makassar. This process was also accompanied by representatives from the Management of Sekolah Islam Al Azhar Summarecon Mutiara Makassar. Sekolah Islam Al Azhar Summarecon Mutiara Makassar is the first Al Azhar school in the Biringkanaya area that provides complete educational facilities and presents the Al Azhar Special Curriculum and the Muslim Personal Development Curriculum.
